The first new medical school in Israel in nearly 40 years opened in 2011, and development of that school and construction of a permanent campus has been designated a national priority project by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The temporary campus in Safed, in northern Israel, has admitted its first students and is working with local hospitals in the Galilee to not only train future doctors but also to bolster the provision of quality healthcare in this underdeveloped region.
Ascend Partners Group worked with the American Friends of Bar-Ilan University to develop a Founders Campaign for the Bar-Ilan University School of Medicine, as well as on long-term campaign plans for the permanent campus. APG developed the case statement and fundraising plan, conducted prospect research, and engaged with AFBIU leadership in cultivation strategies for both the Founders Campaign and the eventual campaign for the permanent campus, expected to be a $400 million effort. The first $1 million Founders gift was secured by AFBIU in August, 2013.Visit Website
